Nice try, Toms. Ok, I get it. The shoes are adorable. If all you want is to own some super cute little shoes, as in to have them in your house, then these will not disappoint. Go for it, I say. Buy them, hold them in your palms and coo. I hereby give them one half star for cuteness, and another for seeming pretty comfortable and well-fitted to a baby’s foot (as in no areas that rub or are too tight). When they stay on. Which is tops about 3 minutes at a time. My daughter is 15 months and wears a size 4 shoe, except that she doesn’t wear these shoes, she just takes a few steps and then picks up whichever one falls off first and politely brings it back to me. The fit is right – they are not too long or too wide for her lil’ foot. The strap on top of the foot that velcros down is too far toward the toes of the foot – her foot just lifts out because the hole is way too big. What is the point of baby shoes that won’t stay on the baby? Shoes are not just decor, they are meant to serve a function. Why spend…

SO cute but sizing in tricky! My son is just 2 years old and wears a size 8. I bought a size 7 based on the reviews saying how large these ran. The size 7 wasn’t as big on him as I had expected and will have to return/exchange them for a size 8. The size 7 fit him (fit him today but might not fit next week kind of fit) but the toe box of these are pretty narrow so it won’t take long before their toes are getting cramped at the front. Down side to these is that their feet have to fit pretty snugly for them to stay on their feet but soon after that point, their toes are hitting the toe box. If you have a toddler who doesn’t mind breaking them in for a little while, that may not be an issue for you!

Sizing is Huge! HUGE. I felt compelled to review these shoes because of the large amount of time I spent reading other customers’ reviews before ordering them. I was very concerned that the majority of the reviewers talked about the unusual sizing issues with this shoe. I ordered them for both of my boys and the other reviewers were absolutely correct in that the Youth shoes run huge. Absolutely HUGE. There is truly no way to accurately convey the extent of this until you order them. However, I will try. My 10 y.o. son normally wears the equivalent of a woman’s size 6.5 (I buy him unisex looking Merrell sneakers because he has a narrow foot). Therefore, before reading all of the customer reviews, I had planned to get him a Tom’s Youth 6. However, after reading the customer reviews, I ended up ordering him a Youth 4.5 even though it seemed totally silly. But, sure enough, the other reviewers were spot on–even the 4.5 is enormous! I wear a Women’s size 8 in my own Toms shoes, and the Toms Youth 4.5…
